What would working at a hotel as a receptionist be like?

How would one get a job working as a receptionist or an entry level job in a hotel in a foreign country?

• Is there anyway that one could get a job in an expensive hotel with an American chain in a foreign country and would the pay be enough to keep one supported? Would it be a safe way for one to see the country while working and would they pay for a flight back if this individual was transfered to a hotel back within the country?

  In my experience, a company will usually hire a local workforce for jobs like that. You see, a local that speaks English will know the area better than you, speak all the local languages, and cost a lot less. The only positions you'll find in hotels are management. It sounds like you should look into teaching English. It actually pays very well internationally, and usually your board is payed by an international school. English or Math teachers are highly sought after in the international school circle.
