Where is the document number on a passport card?

What else document to provide in absence of ration card for passport?

  • i have to make an indian fresh passport, but i don't have ration card . i hold following documents : 1. pan card 2. driving licensce 3. bank accounts(address is of my office , not residence) 4. 10th certificate can i apply for passport on behalf of these? or can i get an affidavit typed from notery about residence. CAn it be used as a residence proof?

    Instead of ration card to can provide one of the following documents as proof of address: • certificate from employer of reputed companies on letter head • water/telephone/electricity bill • statement of running bank account (with home address) • Income Tax Assessment Order • Election Commission ID card • Gas connection bill • Spouse’s passport copy It is only required if you apply for a fresh passport; should you apply for re-issue of the passport since the current passport is going to expire you only need to show proof of address if it is different from the address in your current passport. with your pan card and driving license and 10th certificate u can make a passport. plus u would need clearance from your nearest local police station. thats it and you are good to make a passport. cheers buddy.
