What to wear at my interview for school representative?

• ok so next week i am going to be interview by my school administrator as a part of picking who gets to be my school representative. i want to make a good impression and my school counselor who's in charge of the whole process of picking school Representative. she said to dress like how you would dress for a job interview. i don't dress up really often so i have no idea what to wear. i was thinking black pants and something else. so if you cud help me make an outfit that is cute, appropriate, and not to over the top dressy that Would be great. if you cud also add a link or pic that wud be great so i can get an idea of what your saying.

  usually the best thing you can wear for a formal business event would be dress pants (never jeans!) and a tasteful top. Nothing that plunges down the neckline too much (to show off cleavage). Also some dress shoes, maybe a short heel or a flat. Some of these girls are wearing a higher heel, but it's not a necessity, for comfort sake, try a shorter heel or flat. It's never a bad thing to wear a simple pair or studs and a nice necklace as well. And don't be afraid of a little colour in your top :)
