Do i have to change my address on passport if moving abroad?

What address proof can i give for address change in my passport? Nothing in my name.?

I have recently shifted to Gurgaon from Chennai.Each of the utility bills is in my hubby's name(EB,Gas Connection,house rent, landline bill ,mobile bill) My bank acct statement is also of old address even employer's contract document is also of old address. I have to go to US for some official visit, i need to change address in my passport before that. Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance.

it is not all that urgent to get address changed in the passport,for traveling abroad. a valid passport is all that is required to apply for visa. after your return you can go through the process required for changing the address.
