What visa does a baby need?

Does my baby need a visa? Please help?

  • I have a 3 month old baby, shes also an US citizen and I have plans visiting the Philippines, does she need a visa? if so, where can I apply? please help

    No, your baby does not need a visa. Not because she's a baby, but because she's a US citizen, which don't need a visa to enter the Philippines up to 21 days.

Are you a balikbayan? If yes, your baby can stay in the Philippines up to 1 year on her US passport without a visa. When you go through immigration you must specifically request that your US citizen child be granted balikbayan status. This only works when the Filipino balikbayan personally accompanies his/her foreign spouse/child at the time of entry into the country.

I would suggest American Express traveler's checks. They can be replaced if lost or stolen. However, if you do insist on a credit card, a Visa is a good choice because Visa is everywhere you want to be.
