U.S. Student Visa Help!?

  • Well I came to Mexico to get my residence but they didn't accept me because I'm in the same form as my mom && I can't go back until she does too she's gonna take the waver to Ciudad Juarez on Nov. 15 && she hopes that they'll accept her so I can go back in && study && if they approve her it'll be until like February she thinks?but I can't wait any longer I wanna keep studying!Is been since Sep. 15 that I came so I'm basically dropped off my school! )= and I really wanna keep studying!so should I apply for a student visa or wait to IF they accept her?&& I want to know a lot of stuff 1st where do I apply to get a student visa?can I apply at Mexico City?how much would it cost?what do I need in order to apply?if they accept me how long would it take?do I have to pay monthly/yearly to keep studying?if they accept me on the Student Visa && then in lets say February accept my Residence Visa can I cancel the student visa && keep my residence?

    You can apply for a student visa, but it's hard to say under the circumstances if you'll get one or not. Clearly you are an intending immigrant. You don't have to apply for a student visa in Juarez. you could be interviewed in Mexico City or elsewhere. all immigrant visas need to be done in Juarez, but other visas are done in different places. You will need to an I-20 student form and be registered in the SEVIS database first before you can even apply. and, even if you intend to go to a public school, you'll need those things and you'll need to pay tuition, because you'll be applying as a foreign student, not as a legal resident. If you're over 14, you'll need to go in person.
