Transit visa for Madrid airport for Colombian?

  • My wife is Colombian, and is travelling with me to Engalnd. Our flight connects in Madrid so does she need a transit visa for passing through Madrid airport?? Note: The UK visa that she has is not valid for the European Union. We have litte time left before our journey and need to know quickly! The Spanish Embassy does not pick up the phone! Thanks.

  • Answer:

No. Citizens of Columbia do not require Airport Transit Visas (ATV) as long as they do not leave the airport transit area.
