Who is the corps diplomat in U.S.A?

Do I have a Country if my mom may be a Japanese Diplomat and I my human rights were violated in the USA?

  • I was told that I should have had a choice, at some point to elect my Country (Japan or USA). Since I was born in the USA, the USA had taken away all of my ability to communicate with Japan for many years and I was not given any choice about my citizenship. Since the Patriot Act, many USA employers say my USA ID is fake even though the US government issued my ID's. One day I got a call from Japan saying I technically don't have a country because I couldn't meet Japan's standards to make a choice of country. What do I do? I have been suffering especially the past 8 years of my 37 year life.

  • Answer:

Since mom is a diplomat she should be able to answer your question and if not mom could ask one of her colleagues in the embassy.

If your mother is a Japanese diplomat in any country you should be treated as though you were born in Japan. As the child of a diplomat you would not have US citizenship by birth.

Do you have a passport??

Uncle

Need more info for a good answer. You don't say where you are, nor what sort of passport you have. I'm assuming you haven't just stayed in the US for 37 years. If you have lived in the US for 37 years, the answer to the first part of your question seems moot- you live in the USA. What a potential employer says about your ID (not sure what you're using for ID) is irrelevant, since the validity of your ID does not depend on a company, but on the government. If Japan is, in fact, saying that you don't meet Japan's standards to elect Japanese citizenship, that does not remove any US citizenship you may have. Lastly, you don't specify *how* your human rights were violated in the USA. Please re-think your question and re-post it for a better answer. Good luck!
