    Diplomatic immunity means that a country grants this to accredited diplomats and their families. It works very well for smaller offenses, like speeding or parking in a red zone. For something really horrendous, things become complicated. A country may ask to revoke the immunity. Probably won't happen, but the offending diplomat would get recalled and face local punishment. Like you see in movies, diplomatic immunity covers all crimes. In practice, it covers most crimes. Gotta admit, I've never heard of a diplomat getting his immunity revoked and standing trial in the country that granted immunity to him. ... Take care!
