Where to get passport photo for British passport in USA?

• hello, I am a British citizen in St. Louis. I have to renew my British passport, and the passport photo requirements are: - 45mm (high) by 35mm (wide) - background must be light grey or cream. Unfortunately, the U.S passport photo requirements are different (51 by 51mm) and must be taken with off-white background in the photo! Can I still take a passport photo taken at the U.S post office or CVS or Walgreens? Someone at Walgreens said they can't meet my passport requirements. the U.S post office uses a WHITE WALL, not light grey. HELP!!!! I need to renew my passport :(

  Go to OfficeMax or Staples and they'll take your pic for $20.... or you can use your OWN digital camera, find a wall that's the right colo(u)r, shoot the pic and crop it to the right size...then print it on photographic paper...
