Answer:
Any one can get married in any country to anyone. Occasionally, there is a visa to get (eg UK "marriage" visitors visa) Marriage does not automatically mean the spouse can live with you, though. However in your case, it does - under EU law for maintaining family union As a National of an EU country, working in another EU country (not your national one), you have the automatic 'right' to bring your family members (spouse and children) with you. For the UK, you can show actual Marriage or living together 'as married' Your partner will get a Family Member Visa. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Economic_Area_Family_Permit For travelling to Germany and other countries, she can travel on that also, so long as 'you' are with her at the time, or she is travelling through those countries to leave or meet you (in the UK). See UK Visa's for EEA members: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/eucitizens/documents-family/ The other good news for you is, that the visa is FREE. Again under one of the four freedoms of the EU, the right to work and reside with your family members in any EU country. After 5 years legal residence in the UK, she will be eligible (under EU law) for a Permanent Residents visa. After 1 year (under current UK law), she will be eligible for UK citizenship and then a UK (i.e. EU) passport NB. You apply for a visa for the country where you will live (or marry if needed) So if you want to live in UK - UK visa if you want to live in Germany - German visa
