Can you tell me more about the settlement visa?

What is the requirements that i have to fulfill for the settlement visa in the UK?

• I a am british and married to a foreign wife.She joined me last year and still living together in the UK.But her visa will expire in february next year.Can you tell me what things do i need to apply for the settlement visa.And where can i get application form? Is there any local government bodis who can help me in this matter?

  Local government will be no help at all. Immigration is regulated by the Home Office - it is not a local government matter. I am assuming your wife has a visa for two years to live in the UK as your wife. The next stage when that expires is to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain. She will need to do this, provided she has been in the UK for two years, using form SET(M) which you will find here http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/settlement/applicationtypes/applicationformset(m)/ .
