Do I need an Irish visa?
-
I know I need an irish visa to enter Ireland, however I already have a UK tourist visa and a Schengen tourist visa for my vacation in July and I was wondering if I need an irish visa to visit. The spanish consulate in Boston has got to be the slowest a$$ consulate ever. I'm getting a Schengen visa for the 5th time and it always takes less than 4 days with other countries but today I called the Spain consulate and they tell me I have to call back in 4 additional weeks (total 6 week even though they told me 15 days before). So now, if that's the case, I won't have time to apply for the Irish visa because I'm leaving in 3 weeks and that's why I'm asking this question. Thanks for your help.

Answer:
Hi Irish here. Since you have a UK tourist visa you still have to apply for a visa to vist here. We very strict migrants laws here. You can vist Northern Ireland. But you can't travel into the Republic of Ireland without a visa.

You should check with the Irish consulate in Boston. Otherwise you could look up the Irish Government website and check on Dept. of Foreign Affairs. The Irish government has become fairly ruthless on immigration issues so you should take care to do everything by the book.
