How can I get Italian citizenship?

  • I'm born in the USA. My grandfather and grandmother were born in Calabria and came to the US around 1900. They became US citizens before my father was born. I speak a little italian but am more fluent in French and German. How can I become an Italian citizen?

    you need to make contact with the city where your Grand parents (MUNICIPIO) were born the date of immigration to the USA their family certificate ( certificate Stato di famiglia ) then same for your father after you have all these contact the Italian consulate i can tell you that its very hard and tedious job will take anywhere from 2 to 4 yrs had one friend under same situation tool her 5 yrs when she got it she returned back to USA in 7 months no jobs no friends no future
