I lost my passport . and the agent is saying that it will be a problem in getting a saudi visa. is that true?

i lost my passport back in 2006 , then i made a new passport and i went to UK and lived there for 4 years... i recently have renewed my passport. the problem is that now i have a been issued a visa from a saudi company but the agent here is saying that the embassy will not stamp the visa because my first passport was lost.is it true? because i dont see any logic in it. i have travelled to UK and they didnt make any problem out of my lost passport. PLEASE HELP ME :(

If you can get a copy original from your immigartion that certifies you lost your passport and. Was issued a new one then submit that to prove it then u should not have a problem so get letter from ur immigation department and u should be sorted
