Where is foreign affairs in dubai?

Dubai visa info required?

  • have been researching and each website gives me something different on what documents my husband needs to apply to get me a spouse residence visa in dubai? Can someone tell me the exact documents that I need so I can get the correct information. Do I need to get my husband to write a letter to say that he will be supporting me and then get that attested? Where does this get done? Do I need my marriage certificate to be attested at foreign affairs and the UAE consulate in south africa? Is it essential to give education certificates for the spouse residence visa, as I dont have? Do I need to get my embassy to write a letter to say that my drivers license is valid? Can the traffic department where you get your drivers license write the letter or must the embassy do it? What is the cost of the spouse residence visa? Can someone send me the application form for the spouse residence visa so I can fill it in and give it to my husband before he leaves for Dubai? I am going crazy here , it seems no one in South Africa can help me and I dont know where to get the exact information from! Please help me!

  • Answer:

The process flow is as following, i know because i was in dubai for a long time. 1. your husband should be having minimum income per month based on the criteria dubai government has set to sponsor the spouse. (4 years back it was 4000 dhs per month), 2. Then he needs to complete the application form which is easily available at form typing agents. 3. With completed application he needs to go to ministry of naturalization and residency, and he has to attest your marriage certificate. 4. They will check docs like source of income, your marriage certificate and then they will issue a temporary resident visa which will be confirmed after your entry and medical procedures will be completed there.

You need to get your marriage certificate attested by the South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then it needs to be legalised by the UAE Embassy in Pretoria, after that, your husband must go to Dubai immigration and apply for your visa, if sucessful, they will issue a visa certificate, your husband can send you a scanned copy of the visa, once you are in Dubai airport you need to collect the original visa certificate from airport immigration office, then, you can queue at the passport control so that the immigration official can stamp your passport and visa certificate, at that point you are now in Dubai, to get the residence visa stamped in your passport you need to go with your husband to dubai immigration and pass a medical exam (blood test and x-ray) after two weeks you can collect your passport with the visa

Go to a travel agent. they usually have such information, or, if possible, go to the embassy or foreign office of Dubai. If your husband has a working visa there, you should be able to get the information from the same office.
