  • Answer:

First, you have to return home to your country of citizenship. Student visas can only be applied for from within your country of citizenship. You must be accepted by a university in the US and receive an I-20 form. Take that along with proof that you & your parents have sufficient funds for all school-related expenses, plus all of your living expenses, plus return transportation to your country of citizenship. If approved for a visa, you can enter the US on your student visa no more than 30 days prior to the start of classes. You are required to return home immediately upon completion or termination of studies. YOu are too late to apply for the 2012-2013 school year. Come fall, you must take SAT (or perhaps ACT) plus TEFL exams at the nearest place to your home where the exams are offered. And complete all applications & submissions procedures - typically by 1 December 2012 for Fall 2013 admissions, though some schools may set an application deadline of 1 November or 15 November. You cannot remain in the US! Any overstay of your visa will make you ineligible for a student visa. Go home. You have just enough time to do your research on universities you might want to apply to, start preparing your essays to accompany your applications, sign up for admissions testing & you may need to take advanced English test preparation and/or SAT preparation courses before you take your exams. Your English is not so hot, and you need to work on that to be eligible to apply to US universities (or in any other English-speaking country). And talk to your parents about how they can afford all this. Plan to need $2000 or so just to apply to universities, take your exams, etc. And average cost of a 4-year degree for Americans studying in the US is $250,000. Not likely you can get away with anything less as a foreign student. US cost of living is high and rising rapidly - real inflation rate is already over 11%.

In order to study in the United States you have to find one that will offer you acceptance. This normally involves two very important things - passing of a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and lots and lots of money. You have to be able to travel to the US, pay your tuition, books, room & board without working. So once you have found a University to accept you then you apply for a student visa and go for your interview showing your financial ability to support yourself and your studies and the letter of acceptance from the University. This is the only way and you will NEVER be able to change your status from "tourist" to student without returning to Bangladesh. Good Luck.
