Traveling from Algeria to Tunisia?

Car insurance and tax in tunisia algeria and morocco?

  • Me and my partner have been planning a holiday in our motorhome. we have finally decided to drive to our home country Algeria to see the rest of our family. To do this we must go through france germany switzerland italy tunisia then algeria, the route we are taking back will be through morocco up through spain france then back to england. what i am concerned about is do we need car insurance and tax to enter tunisia algeria and morocco as they are not part of the european union, if so can somebody give me some links so i can quickly do this, i am also wondering would the visa cover this.

  • Answer:

You did not mention if you are living in the UK ? I am going to assume so.. About the visa, what sort of visa do you have ? ILR ? else ? The fact that you reside in the UK does not cover you traveling to the UE it is irrelevant. Are either one of you a British subject ? (you said our home ) so both of you are algerian.. The UK is part of the UE but not in the schengen zone so you will need a schengen visa to pass trough the countries above mentioned. You need to ask a visa from France to start and it will cover the rest of the schengen zone travels. Not sure about Tunisia and the taxes, but you will need international insurance that will be valid throughout all the countries.
