Can you tell me more about the settlement visa?

Can anyone tell me how long a settlement visa will be from the British high commission in Delhi?

i got married in august and i need to know how long i have to wait for my wife to get visa we have done all the paper work and we are legally married so just waiting now it says 12 weeks for settlement visa but i here stories of 3 weeks or 6 weeks can anyone give me a time period they experienced or know of anyone getting it quicker than 12 weeks try to be pacific thank u so much
