What happens when inclusion of spouse name in indian passport?

• hai, i have an indian passport. i am married recently. i just want to add my spouse name in the passport, my passport was issued in 2004. i just want to know what really happens when inclusion of spouse name in the passport. Are they going to change my passport, i mean same passport but with new pages or not. i dont have any valid visa pages. there are 4 visa pages in my passport, but they are expired. Are they going to remove those pages or not. please let me know what really happens, thank u
