First, my credentials: Both my Mother and Father served our nation, US Army and USAF, respectively, I graduated from a DoDDs school in Europe. 2 of my 3 children were born in Germany, one in HI, all while my husband was active duty. My husband retired from the AF after 22 yrs in 2007. After his 22 yrs of svc in the AF for our nation my husband is now disabled and unemployable. However, we are doing our very best to obtain for him the benefits DUE HIM for his honorable time in service. I want to know what can YOU, with all your STAR POWER, do to speed these processes along for ALL of the veterans seeking benefits. Gallivanting around the world at taxpayer expense, throwing lavish parties at taxpayer expense and telling my children they can't have the toy in the happy meal unless they get apples over fries at taxpayer expense is a waste of MY TAXPAYER MONEY. I would MUCH rather you spend your time more prudently and quite honestly, more usefully, by insisting more jobs be made available to help go through the thousands of veterans applications for benefits of all kinds more quickly. While my colors run red, white and blue from birth, I'm sure there is SOMEONE on this extensive staff of yours who can TEACH you how best to put your new-found pride in our beloved America to better use than trying to find Waldo in every other country on the planet. WHAT CAN AND WILL YOU DO WITH THE TIME YOU HAVE LEFT TO HELP SUPPORT OUR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES? And by the way, shopping at Target once in your life with all the cameras to try and show America how truly American you are really just made you and your family look stupid and it only made YOU feel better, not the rest of America, as you had hoped. Quite frankly, I stopped shopping at Target when they got on their high-horse and stopped selling tobacco - haven't set foot in one since. You should fire that employee who made that suggestion - it was ill-advised. There's one job open for another deserving American - will you be accepting applications soon?

  you are full of crap. to anyone else that might be reading my response... this person changes their story.... last time it was 17 years of service, there were no children and this person said that they were the veteran in need of benefits.
