CIVICS, what would you do?

• hey, so i have some civics homework; each question is worth 3 marks. answer as many as possible, please and thank you! 1. what would you do if you were told you must leave canada immediately? 2. what would you do if you were not allowed to associate with people of your choice? 2. what would you do if a friend was threatened by another student? 4. what would you do if you were not allowed to practice your own religious/spiritual beliefs? 5. what would you do if any adult (ie. teacher) was allowed to use cruel and unusual punishment such as punching you, hitting you, and yelling at you anytime they wish? 6. what would you do if any stranger was able to search through your knapsack/purse/wallet whenever they wanted? 7. what would you do if you were discriminated against because of your ethnic origin? 8. what would you do if you were not allowed to become a canadian citizen until you could fluently speak both french and english? 9. what would you do if your friend whom is blind was prohibited from riding on the bus with you because of his/her disability? 10. what would you do if a close family member was not informed of the reason for their arrest? i am doing an independent study at school, so i do not have a teacher to get any clarification from. all answers (mature and relating to the questions) are appreciated. thank you so much! :)

  I don't think I'm understanding the point of this exercise. We are protected from each of these from occurring under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Based on the wording of the questions, some seem to suggest a direct infringement of Charter Rights (such as #10), while others suggest the Charter of Rights simply doesn't exist (such as #6) So I'm not sure whether the outcome of this is what recourse you have when your rights are infringed upon, or what would you do if you simply didn't have the rights to begin with.
