create a display image for your profile. You can up load one from your computer or use Yahoo Messenger's Avatar feature to create one, which is what i use on the forums. I would recommend against using a personal picture stick to an avatar or something generic (public domain). Millions of people go through these forums and you would be suprised what an experienced person can pick up from a personal photo. U could unknowingly be making yourself a target.

You can got to Yahoo avatar. And make it. If you don't know how to get to it, go to mail and click in the gray box. Then WAAALAA...dork! I look like a total dork in real life but my avatar makes me look cool, so I'm thrilled.

You don't have to do anything. Dick Cheney will put one there. That's how I got mine.

Go into your email and click on the grey silhouette and you will get that make an AVATAR thing. Then follow directions, view the myriad of possibilities that best suit your personna, and click save. Once that's done, get into your profile here and click to add your AVATAR.

It's real simple. Just go to your Yahoo! search and type in Yahoo! Avatars. It will take you to the place where you can create one of these animated looking ones. You can even change their moods, clothing, backgrounds, etc. If you don't like the ones on Yahoo!, you can do a search for an avatar website.
