United States best served by a two party political system? Would a one-party, multi system be more effective?

The problem isn't the number of parties. The problem is that it's nearly impossible for an official to vote his conscience against his own party without suffering severe consequences that result in lost committee assignments and loss of financial backing. Lets keep the 2 party system but put in term limits so that the candidates are more free to vote what THEY think instead of voting what the PARTY LEADERSHIP thinks

Realistically, it already is a one party system. It doesn't matter which party is in power, because the same ruling class holds all the power. All of the elections, and debates are just facades to make the peasants feel as if they have an actual say in their governance. Multiple political parties are always more desirable. perhaps one day, the proletariat will realize that the power for change does not lie with the people they vote for, but with themselves, in their ability to collectively overthrow their oppressors overnight.

How do you define a one party (which sounds like a dictatorship) and multi-system, which could mean a variety of things?

If those stupid emotional mooching liberal voters did not exist, and corrupt evil smart people where no in being, then yes.
