How can I find political activist groups in Nassau County, Long Island?

  • Is there a website with a listing of political events, workshops, organizations, groups, etc based on location? Searching google has proved to be unsuccessful. How can I find political groups/ organizations in Nassau County/Long Island or even just anywhere in NY? groups dealing with: environmental causes social justice economic justice govt reform etc

    just walk around your town square waving a sign saying 'i'm crazy rich like the rest of you living here in nassau county, and i feel guilty about how insanely rich i am, so i wish i had a cause i could talk about to make people like me when they talk about how stupid rich i gotta be to live in this place. anything you got that will make people not notice how horribly, embarrassingly rich i am. environment, social justice, economic justice, government reform, i don't care, just help me feel less bad about being richer than 99% of the rest of the country and living in this insanely expensive enclave that's exclusively for the very, very rich!'

They won't spring for a hockey game though..well the Islanders can play with a little more heart,they do show some true grit at times.They need to move closer to Queens..I was going to say around your town's soup kitchens,shelters where they volunteer to make a name for themselves and chalk up a good resume,but the previous poster straightened that out...Try around City Hall and it's zoning board,board of appeals and issues around city steered/directed contracts
