I want to become and animal rights activist and a lawyer how do I do so?

I have not graduated high school yet and I have been struggling to figure out what I want to do. I am a vegan and I am very compassionate about animals. I want to become an animal lawyer or I want to enact laws that stop animal cruelty on factory farms, puppymills, and petstores. After I save up money I want to open up an animal rescue for animals that were illegally brought into the country and given to unresponsible people and for sick or injured animals as well. My only problem is I have absolutely no idea how to do any of this or what I should go to college for any help?

I would contact a local animal rescue organization. I recently took on a case to defend a rescue organization and I had no idea all they did. It was amazing, but totally hard work. And believe me, it takes a special person to do this type of work. Try volunteering with them for awhile. SEe what is all involved, as I know you have no idea, I didnt. But that will give you an idea of abused animals and their rescue. As far as being a lawyer, you have to go to many years of college. GEt your undergrad in either poly science or criminl justice and then LSAT'S and more college. About seven years in total. Good luck, animals need all the help they can get. I agree with you. I got a beautiful, rescued 8 week old Rottweiller puppy out of all this, to which I love dearly. Its like you cannot help them without taking one home. LOL.
