Are FEMA camps true concentration camps?

i usually stay out of the politics and everything since it all just seems to get on my nerves, but last night my friend asked me if my boyfriend and i knew anything about the martial law being passed this summer and if we knew anything about FEMA camps...i knew nothing but i haven't been able to ask my boyfriend yet since he is deployed. What i've found out so far is that they are concetration camps but i'd rather just get straight to it. Is this stuff true? what's up with the camps and the martial law? and if it is true, WHY
