How do I find an old newspaper article for free?

How do I find an old newspaper/internet article from 2007?

  • My dad died september 7, 2007 and i remembered like the week after i looked online and i found an article about his death and there was also one in the newspaper. I really want to find it again but i am having no luck, i know i know, i probably should have printed them out.

I can only tell you in the UK every library in each town or city has local newspapers on microfilm,often going back a century or more. Its the work of a moment to hire a reader and pick out the film and find and print what you want. I dont know if this exists on the USA?I do family history and know how limited the internet can be for finding old newspapers.

you might be able to go to the library and they may have copies on file that you can look at. You can probably make copies there too! Your mom may have kept copies for you. Maybe you can ask her. But I think that's a good start! good luck and take care! Hugs!
