Has there been a recent change in income support/tax credits for children?
-
was there a change from October 1st please? My sister has just received a letter from income support with a big drop in her money. She hasn't any more information, and is climbing the walls with worry.

Answer:
There were no changes to CTC which involved a reduction in payments, the general trend of CTC has been upward, not downwards. As for Income support, well that is based on circumstances, if there has been a reduction then the benefits office have assumed there has been a change in your sisters circumstances. Best contact them and find out why, though when the amount of benefit changes, they always send out an explanatory letter. Hope that helps
