Invasive species on Rottnest island?

I would like an accurate update of the Vortex discovered off Rottnest Island on June 05 2006?

A team of Scientists led by UWA's Dr Anya Waite, dicovered the massive vortex just west of Rottnest Island. Does the vortex still exist today, If so ? It was 200klms in diameter on June 2nd 06. Is It getting bigger or smaller? It was 1000mts in depth on June 02.? How deep is It now.?
