How do I change the widget clock to central time?

Clock time change: what gives?

  • Did everyone have brain freeze? We have mainly atomic clocks and from my computer to our clocks to our DVR (TiVo), everything is not on the correct time STILL and it's MONDAY! Infact, TiVo did 'correct' it, in a way, rather than change the time, they changed all the sceduled hours so that everything would still match up. Has humanity imploded that so many people screwed up and drop the ball? Please, give me your thoughts and/or information (I don't watch the news much) Any information is good. {Smartass remarks only gets you 2 pts and ignored} And yes, I know Sunday was time change day, BUT... what happened to the actual change to the tech based items?

    The government just wanted to screw with us some more. I can not believe they think they are going to get an extra hour of of day light. The amount of daylight we have has nothing to do with DLST, Mother Nature controls that. The thing to do would be to refuse to use. Just set your clock back and go in to work late. If everyone did that they would soon learn they can not push people around. Here it is after 7 am and still dark out, if I want to work outside I need a flash light or the yard light on. I am certainly not saving energy. I set my clocks ahead too. My computer is lost though, I had to do that manually. Have a nice day.

First, when you say atomic clocks, what's that? The only atomic clock I know of is the one in Fort Collins, Colorado, where the universal timekeeping is continuous. That time never is tampered with by the government. The daylight saving time is a government inspired enactment that allows an hour more to the scheduled work day, specifically in the summer months where the days are longer and the evening gets dark too fast. Many clocks attached to computer programed agencies via wired or microwaved are supposed to be automatically changed. The other clocks are changed by none other than yourself.
