Is Maddie McCann dead?

Kate and gerry mcCann. are they guilty of killing maddie?

  • with all the press accusations and reports i am trying to get my head around their motives. i am a mom and i cant understand how a parent could do that. i am totally unsure if they had any involvement but why would a parent leave such young kids alone in a hotel room, in a foreign country?? They could also be hanging around in portugal for 2 reasons, 1 they really are hoping to find maddie or 2 they did accidently kill her. i dont mean to offend anyone, i would just like to know your views on this. there is so much speculation about Gerry's debts and how well the 'maddie' fund is doing that they could be hanging around until they have made enough money to pay off their debts and live a good life. but being a parent i cant believe another parent could do that. i dont think they did, if i'm honest. what are your views??

    Sure we can't know until it's all out but we can have views and opinions on what we know so far - hence YA! You asked for views so here goes: most kids that are murdered are killed by their parents according to crime stats. The couple's attitude has been a "we know best" one, possibly handy for a gp, but not exactly normal for a couple whose baby has alledgedly been abducted. They have refused to admit that leaving the kids was wrong, only "misguided" and Kate has managed to remain beautifully turned out the whole time. Then I look at me and my wife. Firstly the kids would never have been left alone. Had one of them been abducted (turn your back on the beach to put sun lotion on another child for example) we would have beaten ourselves up about everything and said that we did lots of things wrong. Where are the tears, the wringing hankie? I know my lovely wife looked like an old hag (hope she doesn't read this) for about a week after her elderly mother died. How much worse would she have been if one of our kids had been snatched? I dread to think! It's now out that they sedated the kids to sleep while they went out anyway (more of the doctor knows best) and if they got it wrong..... doctors have been known to make mistakes? They are intelligent enough to know that their lives and careers would be over if this came out and sadly it is true that dealing with death on a regular basis (and Kate has said she was working with cadavers shortly before they came on holiday and Gerry is a cardiologist) hardens you to it. You learn to shut it out. Maybe that's how they keep the unruffled poker face so well, taking a clinical view of events, keeping the gp front up rather than allowing themselves to be parents. As for debts and premeditated ideas of raising funds, I don't know anything of their debts and even if they are considerable find that concept hard to swallow. An accident I can believe, premeditated, no.

Judge not, lest ye be judged yourself! I too am a parent, and couldn't let my kids out of my sight at such a tender age. We have no place being judgmental on this issue, for we are not in possession of all the relevant facts, and are totally reliant upon a media juggernaut which is still highly discredited. Don't believe evrything you read, see or hear in the media!

I think their behaviour is very fishy and has been from the start. But all we get in the british press and tv is Team McCann's viewpoint fed back to us uncritically plus, as kevin said, the racist viewpoint on the portuguese police (hey, but it's okay, they're white, you're allowed to trash them). Did anyone notice Gerry McCann's 'double blinking' constantly during interviews? I'm sorry but they don't look or act like grieving parents and the 'we know Madeleine is alive' line can be construed as obstructive - how did they know that? Why did they say it so aggressively - to put the police off for searching for a dead body? And furthermore, what an abuse of the money kind people sent it for their trust. I guess they won't be using it to run a libel case now, huh? But how about to pay for their own defence? How cynical of them. What happened to their plans to get a private detective with it, if they were so frustrated by the police? Oh right - changed their minds about that did they - I wonder why.

My views is that they done it. every single parent knows not to leave their kids alone, im not a parent and yet I know that! you say you cant see any parent doing that so u dont believe it. well open your eyes hunny because there are parents out there who rape, abuse, torture and stave their children to death so im pretty sure if they thought they had a reason they would do it. its a sick world we live in, but my question is why take your children on holiday if you are going to leave them in a hotel room (with a door open by the way) but thats just my view

portugeuse police couldnt catch a cold, where is the body if the mcCanns killed maddie? who are they going to try and pin this tragic event on next. those 2 parents must be totally destroyed by this whole situation , what a disgrace...

Why would she do that? It would smell of her daughter wouldn't u want to smell her constantly anyway in time the smell would go,why hire a car 25 days after their daughter goes missing when they managed b4 without 1.Why go on holiday with ur kids and dump them in a creche all the time?

I think the police chief did it and my theory is at least more plausible than the wacky one they are they are working on at present.

no one can realy say that she is dead yet,has no body has been found, but i do think that by leaving there children at such a young age, they are guilty of neglect, if they are telling the trouth

i think the mother may have returned to find maddie had died by choking or something like that and she panicked thinking people would have blamed her. or she did kill her by accident i doubt they would of done it on purpose, they dont look the sort
