Keyless entry installation?

Keyless Entry Installation in 2003 Kia Sorento? Please Help!?

• Hello, My 2003 Kia Sorento came without the Keyless Entry option, and we have decided that we would like to install one. Best Buy offers a Viper Keyless Entry System for $140 (Basic Installation Included)... but I found a hardware store that sells another aftermarket Keyless Entry kit that you can install yourself for much cheaper. I've never done this, nor do I know how it is done. Has anyone done this? Anyone have any advice or directions on how I can do it myself? Any advice would be very appreciated! Thanks!!

  I myself have not done this, but my daughter is the service advisor for a KIA dealership. As it is very late here, I will contact her at work later when she's there and get your information if you still need it then. *edit* Andrew, my daughter says you need to take your key fob to a KIA dealership and let them use their computer to activate it. Hope this helps.
