How do I delete my 'answers' account?

How can I delete my Yahoo Answers account?

  • I don't have a yahoo email account, but I sign in using my Facebook account. Will it erase it?? And, I don't know how to delet this account! Will u please help me? And I don't want to just keep it here and not use it, I whant to delete it!!!! Thanks!!!!

    When you close your account, you will lose access to your Yahoo! ID, Yahoo! Mail, and profile names. Yahoo! will delete your account data and settings across the Yahoo! network. This means you will lose all of your content in Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Contacts, My Yahoo!, Yahoo! Groups, in your Yahoo! Finance Portfolio, and in any other area of Yahoo! that can only be accessed with your Yahoo! ID and password. Whatever is on the Main Board, in Resolved Q and in Undecided Q in voting remains in the system for ever unless it is reported by one or more reliable users. Whatever has ended up in Google and other websites remains there for ever or indefinitely. Sorry, what you want is not one of the options given to Y!A users, whether you think it should be or not. You agreed to Yahoo's terms and conditions when you signed up to use the site. This is one of them. You cannot delete a Y!A account. You can strip it of all personal info and abandon it. It will, after several months, be deleted for inactivity. That is how to get rid of it. Please be aware, however, that leaving Y!A does not affect any of your questions or answers. All closed questions become property of Yahoo. They no loner belong to you, so you can do nothing with them. Even if you leave, your questions and answers all stay in the archives here where they are publicly viewable by anyone. That's another one of the terms and conditions you agreed to by signing up for an account here.
