Is 2012 going to be the doomsday year?
-
I keep hearing that this year is going to be the doomsday year on december 21 this year. Could you tell me if it is true and if so why or why not? I am really worried about it. Thanks

Answer:
Nothing to worry the year will pass like other normal years. It will be full of good and bad events as usual.

Okay, there are many arguments for and against this theory. Look at it from a scientific point of view. The Mayans stopped the calendar on December 21, 2012, but that doesn't necessarily mean the world will end, but it may indicate a shift. Now, let's look back to the calendar itself. From what I've read, it is about 12,000 years long. So, what happened about 12,000 years ago? Well, that was the basis of agriculture, as well as the belief in a deity of some kind. That suggests that a change in Human Thinking as a whole may occur sometime around this date. Also, a major solar flare occurs once ever 11 or so years, and we're due for one any time now, which may disrupt technology (such as the internet, but we'll get to that in a bit) Now, astrologically, we're coming to the end of a very lengthy process. Picture a circle, where the center is the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, and we are on the edge at the 12:00 point. Draw a line (a radius), and we'll call it the Photon Band. Approximately 225 million years ago, we crossed the photon band, and we are now crossing it again. What occurred back then? That was about the time that Pangaea (the combined land mass of the continents, or the Super Continent) began to split into the seven different continents. This may explain the rapid increase in natural disasters we've seen in the past couple hundred years. There are several other theories, which range from the aforementioned natural disasters to brainwaves changing the ecosystem. There is one fact that sticks out, however: There is a branch of government that specifically tracks internet traffic. I'm not sure how, but they have a prediction software that can predict what will hit big and what will flop. They predict that on this date, internet traffic (people going online, searching things, etc) will completely stop for about a week, and then pick up again. This supports the theory that there may be a change in Human Thinking, but the main issue here is what would happen were this to occur. For example, if the internet (or technology as a whole) were to go down for... let's say... 48 hours, what could happen? Well, Humans are a paranoid, unprepared species, that when something like this happens, they will become hostile towards friends, neighbors, family, and anyone else. In order to survive, they'd steal food and water from each other, conflict would arise, murders would occur, and so on and so forth. This would be much worse in major metropolitan areas, so there may also be a migration as a whole toward the Midwest, or less populated areas. Millions are already stockpiling non-perishables, water, cans of food, etc in order to be prepared for a major disaster (this is similar to the well-stocked nuclear bunkers built during the Cold War). In any case, I'd say just keep an ear out for any new information to arise, and to make sure you always have a plan in your back pocket. No one knows for sure what will happen, and this is only what I believe. Hope this helps!

I'm a Christian and I believe dec. 21st is only the BEGINING of the end. With global warming, we're probrobly all going to burst into flames. But God will take all who worship him straight to heaven, so I don't fear anything about the end. :)
Nothing happened

No, the doomsday year already occurred in 2007-2008. It is only getting worse from here as the world swirls down to worse and worse conditions. Sorry to have to be so pessimistic, but nobody can turn the human decline down now. Virtual impersonation, rampant white collar crime, worthless complainers occupying property illegally with government afraid to enforce the law, Hollywood sewage, valueless paper money, abandonment of God and the bible, a lowering of moral character, and everybody out for their own profit and pleasure spells 2012 another cog in the civilization accelerating crumbling decline. This dark age we are going into, a type of hell, is going to make the decline of the Roman empire and the sluggish middle ages look like child's play. This time the world and its master (satan) is playing for keeps and hopefully to keep your soul where you might want it to be eternally.
