The MP`s in the UK are giving them self's 24 days brake, over this Christmas. How many days will you be taking?

Give them a break,it takes time to spend an unjustifiable income.

I am lucky that i now have a job where i get 2 days off for the first time in my working life I have always had to work Christmas before now 24 days? At this rate their summer break will join up with their winter one and when they are there they're either asleep or in the subsidised bar its a hard life being an MP!

if this is true then its disgusting, at a time when we are in crisis they should be looking at working more hours not less at least until things start to improve! . these people get paid top money to serve the country and its time they started to earn it.. ibelieve that most politicians are in it for the money not because they care for the country if we payed their expenses and nothing more perhaps then we might get people doing the job properly because they really cared about the country!

Just because Parliament is closed it doesnt mean they dont work - they still have work to do in their constituents. I will be taking 12 days off but will be working at home throughout.

Apart from christmas day and boxing say, i'm allowed christmas eve off...assuming I still have a job at that time!!

On the other hand, they could work right through the christmas holidays and pass such laws as "Increase the Poll Tax another 5%" or how about "Lets stick another 10 pence on fuel tax" No!, far better for them to be in recess, let them have their 24 days off, it's cheaper for everyone!

Life is one BIG Holiday for them,all tALL they do is to feather nest and that does not take any skill at all.Yes you guest it I don't rate them to high. One law for them another for the rest of society.Me I work 24/7 full time carer for my wife never had a day of in 16 years.Popa

This is typical of the current Government.The country is in a state of total meltdown and off they go on their jollies.As already pointed out it's a disgrace.They have just come back from a very long summer break mostly,at our expense and,off they go again. If they put themselves up to serve the country then that's exactly what they should do.Our great servicemen and women do not get that much time off. I am working over the Christmas and New year period and so is my other half and we prefer that.In a normal year we get 21 days paid holiday.
