Can someone be allergic to peanut butter but not peanuts?

How did they make peanut butter back then?

  • Recently I discovered that peanut butter is peanuts blended together into a paste. How did someone like George Washington blend peanut butter without a blender? I mean if he did it by hand then mad props because that would take forever.

  • Answer:

George Washington did not invent peanut butter, but he promoted it. They used some kind of old machine to make it. Here is ''The History of peanut butter'' http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/22/peanut-butter-history_n_1222585.html Edit: That is George Washington ''Carver'' not the President lol

They would likely have used a mortar and pestle to grind the peanuts. It is a very efficient method of grinding solid objects into a powder or mush like substance.

You had to eat a lot of peanuts. You would collect the peanut butter from the other end.
