Does anyone know about writing magazine articles and interviewing for information?

Anyone remember a particular New York Daily News article from the 1970s?

• This question will probably only be answerable by people whom are no younger than about 45. During the 60s and 70s the New York Daily News Sunday edition always had a magazine in it that featured different kinds of articles. I think it was called New York Daily News Magazine. I vividly recall reading an article in that magazine decades ago. It could have been the late 60s, but I think it was sometime in the 1970s. The name of the article was "The Littlest Vamps" which told about the horrible side of child beauty-pageants (This is not a new phenemonon). I mainly only recall the title of the article. I can go to the Library on 42nd Street and 5th Avenue where there are microfilm archives of the NY Daily News dating back even to the 1940s, but I would have to at least look at every microfilm of the Sunday Daily News from the late 60s to the end of the 1970s to find the article. Does anyone out there recall this article and perhaps know the name of the person who wrote the article and most of all, recall approximately when the article appeared on the NY Sunday Daily News Magazine. Was it 1971, 1972, 1973..? Maybe someone out there has kept some back issues of the NY Daily News Magazine all these years. Maybe someone's older relative has. The online edition of the New York Daily news only has archives dating back to about 1990. Thanks to anyone whom can provide information.
