If everything is shrinking, including video cameras, what happen to tv show news cameras? The still look awful big to me!

I believe the answer is a simple matter of finances. Local television stations have been losing income due to cable television and now the Internet. Those big cameras were bought a while ago and will be used as long as possible. Local stations also purchase used cameras from larger market stations and the networks which for cost reasons have invested in more portable equipment. Hope this answer helps you.
