Is it standard for freelance writers to have a portfolio?

Help! We are looking for new Writers for our web site but can't find where to find new writers looking?

  • We need help writing articles for our web site! We are looking for writers who wish to grow with us! We are a start up with an aggressive plan in action. Everything is going well but for some reason we can't find new writers who wish to write articles to build up their portfolio of work etc... I'm writing most articles and well it's not my thing... Can't do it all but I find myself forced to write and I wish people with passion could do it not only because it's difficult for myself but it's their passion. I hope this makes sense, I'm just being honest and asking for help... I tried to google - Writers looking or new writers looking to write and I found nothing I tried 10 ways to search on google for writers to no avail... any ideas would be a big, big big help thank you! Don't anyone fall for this. If they were genuine they wouldn't be seeking writers like this. At best they are just looking for people to take advantage of. If you are interested in being a professional writer then you should have respect for yourself and your work, and NOT let yourself be conned by scams like this who are just looking for people to rip off. Your work has value and you don't deserve to be conned by people like this who are just preying on vanity and false hope.
