I think the newspaper there is the Jacksonville Times union. Read it online and find out the names of some of the local affairs reporters. E-mail them and ask them for help. They may have access to the newspaper archives or at least direct you to the articles (you may have to pay for access to old articles). If the murders were unsolved, the reporter may decide to re-run the story with any updates or just bring the unsolved murder back into the public eye, sometimes even after years someone comes forward who knows something about it.

Library's generally keep newspapers. Even if they don't have a hard copy they will likely have it on microfiche. Some librarys even upload them and archive them on their websites. If your not near Jacksonville try contacting the library via phone or e-mail. If that fails you can always google the persons name.

If you have a library, try looking in their archives. Also, if you know the current newspaper, ask them how far back they keep their papers.

You can try to go to ur local library and look it up in the archives. If u need help from there ask the librarian to help u.

Try contacting the Florida Times Union and see if there is somewhere that you can go and look through any archives that they might have.

go on http://www.jacksonville.com/resources/faq#search and follow those instructions 1. Click here for our main archives page. 2. Enter your search term in the keywords box or select the date of publication in the pull-down menus. 3. Or click on the Advanced Search link for more options. 4. Put a keyword in quotation marks: "Jaguars." Even better are two keywords, such as "Jaguars" and "Weaver" 5. Click on Boolean rather than Concept or Pattern search. 6. If the story does not appear, try different keywords. Most wire service stories and syndicated columns are not archived. Good luck
