Do the Suze Orman products work in Canada?

Suze Orman opinion, versus Dave Ramsey?

  • I enjoy listening to both Suze and Dave, but am wondering why does Suze not only seem to think separate accounts in marriage or "partners" are ok, but almost condones it? I realize she also assumes that they each know what the other has, no secrets, but still can be separate, whereas Dave insists joints accounts are the only way to go. Now I also realize Dave's thoughts are partially based on his religious beliefs and I actually tend to agree more with dave. Just wondered what your thoughts are on Suze's reasoning.

  • Answer:

Of the two, I much prefer Dave Ramsey. He's a guy who has been broke, figured out how that happened, and worked his way back not only to solvency, but wealth. I believe he has a much more common sense approach to saving, investing, and getting out of debt.

I agree with Suze. She believes couples should have a joint account to pay family bills, and separate accounts for personal spending. Have no problem with that. Things have changed. Too many times money ruins relationships. I believe this eliminates most money issues. Sometimes man and wife have totally different spending habits.
