Why is yahoo finance down?

Why am I able to post a comment on yahoo Finance or Sports but not on Yahoo News?

  • I tried contacting Yahoo News help about this and received an email saying that I should empty my cache and then remove cookies (Safari). I did this and wound up having to redo my sign-in seal, but it did not solve the problem. I have never used offensive language and I am much more considerate and careful with my comments than 99% of the posts I have ever read on Yahoo articles ... Could it be that Yahoo is limiting their non-premium mail customers posting access to news articles, or censoring people whose philosophical opinions don't match their own?? I have been a Yahoo user for over 10 years. Yahoo does not seem to be having problems posting comments at this time, because I have no problem reading other posts. Very difficult to get any help from Yahoo!

    Yahoo said recently they were having technical difficulties with that site, however they were working to resolve the issues.

Censorship. I have premium email and I have the exact problem you're describing. I never use profanity and I'm very respectful of others (too respectful to some). IMHO, our perspective threatens to awaken people, therefore upsetting their precarious 'applecarts' of distortions. But it's their site - they can do as they please, and it's no secret they use censorship and distortions as part of their overall marketing scheme. We can always leave if we want. I think! Heheh.
