this is for our schoolpaper~ - How are you going to write a news about a past competition? Should I write all the names and the awards (or the place) of the students (ONLY from our school) who participated? and even those who participated in the event but didn't win?.. just to let them be recognized. - How are you going to start (in the lead) if the event was held in different places? i'm not really used in writing a news article so please help me~ =]

Answer:
I would lead in with a overview of the event and go on to only mention the names of the people from my school who won prizes.
