How To Add The News?

How can Yahoo post a news story headline that doesn't add up?

  • Today (1-21-07) Yahoo, on their main screen posted a news story headline that reads: "Pilot dies in-flight" ... But when you click on the actual story it states he died AFTER the plane made an emergency landing. P.S. That is not "inflight". How can Yahoo do this?

  • Answer:

It really didn't say WHEN he died. He was pronounced (officially) dead when they landed. I think the co-pilot was too busy landing the plane safely to determine TOD for his partner.

I WISH THEY POST MY STORY///IT ALL ADDS UP TO

The article never says that he died after landing only that he was pronounced dead. Which makes sense since only a Dr can "pronounce" someone dead. From the article: McALLEN, Texas - The pilot of a Continental Airlines flight became ill after takeoff and was later pronounced dead after the plane made an emergency landing Saturday, a company spokeswoman said. Nothing in that statement contradicts the headline.

Wow! How observant. I've seen so many stories like that. I think it's a ploy to get us to read it. Isn't that was illegal?
