What qualifications do I need to become a film editor?

  • Hello, I am currently at school (doing G.C.S.E's ect) and I am wondering what qualifications I will need to become a film editor. From what I have seen, it looks like you don't need many qualifications. Thanks

    This our recomandations judged on what i needed to get into film&photography at college. I highly suggest taking btec media at school for GCSE. (this should be 4 gcses) you want to aim for atleast merit but distinction if possible. you then need an english gcse and they also like a gcse in math, don't worry about science (but i suggest getting it incase of a change of plan) after your finish college you can obvouisly take your own route! Hope this helps.
