Did you ever get arrested?

News of Mccann abduction...will sky ever get it right ? One report is two Italian men being arrested in cadiz?

  • for attempting to exhort money from the family ...another is an Italian man and Portuguese woman being arrested for abduction...another is an Italian man being arrested in connection with a pedophile ring from France ...which may or may not have connections with the Madeleine case..Why oh why cant sky get the facts right before broadcasting this boring repetitive and speculative information

  • Answer:

Wacky, in spite of all the talk of a 'media campaign', it's obvious there isn't a single working journalist in either Portugal or Spain belonging to BBC, ITN or Sky News. It's obvious too they don't even have stringers. Sky is passing off Gaynor Jesus - who first came to light when Murat was lifted and who is a translator - as a 'Sky reporter'. None of them have cameras out there. Martin Brunt on the BBC was interviewed 'live' last night from, er, 'Central London' (by the looks of it from his own sitting room), where he was busy scanning the internet like the rest of us and talking darkly about his 'Italian sources' - which were Italian websites, not the Minister for Justice in Rome which is what he was trying to imply. It's a disgrace. The arrests were made at dawn yesterday. Twelve hours later, when the news appears on the El Pais website, the Mighty British News Machine swings into action with absolute uninformed garbage and with no-one on site to give even the beginnings of a context. It was almost as appalling a performance as the Murat Raid, which had been going on for 12 hours while Brunt and Hill and Wood were listening to the gibberish of the McCann press conference and thought the dozens of cars yards away from them was some sort of traffic snarl-up caused by locals. So, where is the McCann Media Campaign? Where is the Madeleine News? Nowhere. And it's been like this since at least The Nasty Berlin Question. They know there is no chance of Madeleine wandering back into the apartment. Even if it hadn't already been sold.

It's a case of the media being so hungry for news they will report anything, even if it is wrong.

I read that the arrests were as a result of a warrent issued BEFORE Madeleine vanished. It was only after the arrests, that Police picked up on a possible link to Madeleine?

Sky are useless at giving proper news, they are only good at speculation and dramatisation.BBC are much better at giving the facts.

There has been so many hoaxes already. Lets just hope the little girl is found safe and no harm has come to her.

Black

You will find that it is an hoax. The news reporter said he did not think the couple arrested was anything to do with the kidnapping of Madeleine, but they cannot rule that out until the police in Spain have interviewed them both.

CT

Lets just hope and pray they find that little girl.

Sky news couldn't report on a church fete correctly. Why does anyone watch it?

luddite

Lets hope 1 of the reports is right and it brings it closer to finding the little girl safe and well. There will always be speculation and false reports all the time she is missing unfortunately.
