What can be done to open up the media to include all other political ideologies?

The media is so blatantly biased and full of lies in it's reporting that what you read and what you hear will never be the absolute truth. If you believed the media - you would think that the US Military is worse or as bad at Hitler. Anything they can askew to make the US look bad in the eyes of the world - they jump on. Sometimes I wonder if there are any True, Blue Americans in the Media anymore. If, per chance, they are proved to be wrong on a news story, the retraction or apology might be found buried in the classified ads or a best a 2 second on air correction. I personally do not think opening up the media will ever happen. Go to a web site called MEDIA RESEARCH if you want to know the truth behind the stories in the news.

Money, It all boils down to money. all it takes it for Oprah to say it is a good product and the next day the products fly off the shelves. If you stop and put down your biased political thoughts and really think about it. The drama of what they choose to talk about drives the economy. We are all hearded like sheep to think and buy and vote the way they want us to. And most Americans are to lazy or busy to take the time to read or even question that their may be another view point. We are all hearded to believe that the media is reporting facts ( as they should) but they are actually just reporting the opinion of the money people who drive the economy. I for one am an independent and try to give honest support to the side that deserves it. It is impossible to get an unbiased opinion out there. You basically have to read both sides of the story and go from there so I watch CNN and then FOX NEWS. I do not even give CBS the time of day. I wish that a political officials did not use their title of republican or democrat. So that people did not pre-judge what they have to say before they say it. It is so obvious to even someone like most stories out there are meant to hurt the republican party. Does anyone ask why? We are doing good in Iraq Does anyone say it To the parents who have lost their sons and daughters or children who have lost their parents. Why does the media have to take away the honor that these heroes have given their life for just for political gains. I wonder what they would do if we all started boycotting those of us who truly are thankful of our heroes in uniform) any media outlet that reported only on the negative of the operation in Iraq when it effects their money they will listen.

Not going to happen even if I were to accept your conclusion that the Media is always liberal which I question. The media operates like any business and is driven by CASH. That cash comes from advertisers who will not use the venues that do not represent their interests or cannot attract the customer base the company needs. Medias attract an audience with stories spun from whatever web is currently popular. They cannot nor will they ever tell it like it is at the risk of losing what they fear: they fear their very product will become obsolete. They change it to fit the current buyer. Buyer be ware!

Fortunately all the elite media outlets are losing viewers daily!! new york times top secret leeks!! CBS fake doccuments! they work for alquida lets be honest! they do nothing for the safety of america!! wich news source is thriving and has the best ratings?? FOX NEWS..WHY? fair and balanced and HONEST!!

For any group to be heard, whether it be libertarian or green party, the best thing to do to get into the main stream media (newspapers, tv & radio) is to write editorials to newspapers and get them published. Enough editorials that are on the same subjects but obviously written by others and the newspaper will write about it.

If the "left" were no longer able to "bury their political interest anymore" then the media would be biased toward the "right" most media across the entire world is not controlled by the left.

What a bogus statement, "mostly dominated' MOST media is controlled by corporations that have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo of GOP control. This question may have been a good one if not worded to convince everyone that the Liberal Media is mainstream. Shame on you. Can you say "FOX"?

Only a grass roots campaign with a 4 year goal backed buy a non-bias private foundation for donations like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet could make the media change its formation. You would need national participation for at least 30% of the citizen. It's a long shot but in time impossibilities become possible. Think of the no-smoking laws that started in California and are now sweeping the nation. 10 years ago people would have laughed out of there chairs if someone said they wanted to have smoke free bars and restaurants and that it would never pass but it did. How all the smokers let all those laws push them out of restaurants and bars without fighting those bills I will never know? I’m just glad I don’t smoke 
