Why do you need a clean criminal record to go get shot at in Iraq ?

  I agree, but sending criminals to do a specific job is not dependable, they would more likely turned on whoever was wearing the wrong color, or looked at them wrong instead of doing their job. The government wants people who are willing to do that job, as high risked as it is. I honor those vets daily, my husband is former military and I appreciate knowing that our country is safe in their hands and not some gangster, even though I heard horror stories about people bringing their criminal activities into the service with them.
