Do you think it may be over for Jonathan Ross' career?
-
Let me explain. If anyone knows anything about this man, they will know in the late 80s/early 90s, he was a minor celebrity figure. He soon dropped off then radar. Then, in the late 90s, he made an inexplicable comeback and embarked on a 'successful' career ever since. Now, don't forget previous comedians who have suffered after an ill-judged remark or prank..... Anyone remember Julian Clary's comment about 'fisitng' Norman Lamont at the 91 UK Comedy Awards? His television work suffered greatly thereafter, as no-one would touch him for a long time. I also believe it is no co-incidence that Graham Norton left Channel 4 shortly after his awful comment about the Gibb brother (Bee Gees) who was on a life-support machine. Do we think Ross will wait for this to pass? I mean 10,000 public complaints is a lot. Will he recover after his suspension? Or will he always now be tarnished with causing an outrage? It's a shame him and many of his supporters fail to realise that a joke ceases to be funny when the recipients are offended. Who would like someone phoning their grand-parents and basting they had sex with you, and suggesting they kill themselves.....

Answer:
No I don't think so. I quite like his Saturday morning show on Radio 2, but I do feel a bit embarrassed by what he says sometimes when I am driving with the kids in the car. He does play good music that you hardly hear anywhere else though. I have stopped watching his Friday night TV show because he has become more of the focus than his guests. He is probably overpaid but there you go. As for Russel Brand, his appeal has been one of the great mysteries of modern life. I find him boorish, self satisfied, arrogant and utterly without humour, a bit of a handicap for a so called comedian. I don't think Ross will disappear but I sincerely hope we have heard the last of Russel Bland...sorry Brand

To be honest, I hope he doesn't recover from this incident. His whole career has been based around insulting people in the name of 'comedy'.

I sincerely hope so. The man has no talent, and Brand is worse. How can any person of any morals find this sort of thing remotely funny.

There is an old saying Always be nice to people when you are at the top, cause when your at the bottom the people you were nice to will remember and help you climb back up, but in this sleaze bags case I hope he dissapears for ever, who needs this on TV, but scum like him and Brand will probably get a slap on the wrist told to stop being naughty boys get another million or two a year and keep there jobs, I wonder what would happen if some one phoned Ross'es missus and said in front of a million or so people that he had been shagging her, bet he would be pissed off and want to sue.
gunny
I detest every fibre of Russel Brands ugly and awkward body and did even before this terrible event. He is nothing but an ignorant, arrogant, offensive turd without an ounce of talent. He needs to be shown the difference between witty retorts and loudmouthed sensationalism that he hopes to shock ignorant ,dumb audiences. Johnathon Ross, never really liked, but probably holds some comic talent.Though certainly not worth the excessive pay deal he has. Regardless of my personal opinions of these 2,the way they humiliated another elderly innocent person in such a way,not to mention the grandaughter is despicable. I am afraid that nothing short of dismissal is an apt response for such action. Of course the BBC will appease the public with a few apologies and a token reprimand but as we all know,it will stop short of sacking its multi million pound contract employees. If they had any sense of decency and honour they would resign.

I'm all for freedom of speech but how low will the BBC actually go in the name of entertainment.

Good afternoon mate, To be honest, I think Jonathan Ross needs a bit of a reality check. He isn’t half as good as Barry Norman used to be on movie reviews, I find him arrogant and a bit sure of himself. Heck, he’s one of the big earners, a bit of a financial loss won’t hurt, but credibility crunch just might
Moral Kiosk
I sincerely hope so How can the BBC justify taking licence fees from 43,165 ordinary decent people many of them elderly &/or ill/disabled and handing them directly to the nonce known as Jonathan Woss, Robin Hood in reverse, I think it proves we are a totally sick nation with values that are corrupt!
It's me :)
After careful consideration of all the available data to hand for a nano second, er no. Mind you he's being sent to a nice radio station in antartica when he gets first, try his humour on the penguins, as no one else will listen to him again, at least not in this household.

There should be a line where the comedians cannot go over. It is getting out of hand. I suppose he will lose a lot of fans. He has never had any decorum in my opinion.
